Mosman Park residents between the ages of 13 and 18 years inclusive are encouraged to apply. The Youth Encouragement Grants are designed to assist young people to achieve their dreams and provide them with the opportunity to actively participate in the community and their chosen field of interest.

Each year one Youth Encouragement Grant worth $1000 will be available in each of the following four categories:

• Academic Study
• Sport and Recreation
• Arts and Culture
• Community Service (Project based)

Not only for high achievers, are the grants intended to assist young people to reach the goals they have set for themselves. The money can be put towards a variety of things including tuition, coaching and purchasing specialised equipment. Successful applicants are required to become members of the Town’s Youth Advisory Council.

Applications close on Friday 31 July 2009.
