Committees
There are seven committees constituted by the Town of Mosman Park Council that are currently operating, three standing, two advisory and two occasional committee’s.
Standing, Advisory and Occasional Committees consist of both Councillor and Community members.
Standing Committees have delegated powers, while Advisory Committees provide advice to Council only. Councillors and staff also hold representative positions on outside committees and associations.

Advisory Committees
Advisory committees are established as part of the administrative structure of the Town of Mosman Park. The role of committees is to assist the Council in its decision making by providing advice about specific issues.
Council Advisory Committees for 2008/2009:
- Environmental Sustainability Advisory Committee - This committee will assist Council in the formation of policies and strategies in relation to the development, management and protection of our coast, river and associated forshore evirons. The committee will also provide advice to Council on sustainable development and management of parks and reserves and advocate appropriate courses of action which promote sustainability which is environmentally responsible, environmentally sound and economically viable. - Social Sustainability Advisory Committee - This committee is charged with assisting the Council to achieve its goal of building a vibrant and connected community. This will be achieved by the committee contributing advice to Council on a diverse range of topics that significantly contribute to the social fabric of the Town. These areas will include art and cultural activities, public safety and security and disability access and inclusion programs. Terms of Reference.
